STYLISH CARDIGAN
WITH A UNIQUE FRONT BAND
Its uniqueness of texture with the matching texture of the trimmings produces a garment of high quality, the professional kind.
To produce this type of garment makes buying a machine and learning to machine knit meaningful. The beautiful texture is created using MILAN and ROMA together for Double Bed Jacquard. The result, of combining the two contrasting yarns, is a unique and beautifully light fabric. The front, lower back and front band all worked in one.
Yarn:
Main Colour: 250 gram single MILAN - Super Kid Mohair
Contrast Colour: 250 gram single ROMA - 100% Extra Fine Merino Wool
Stitch Pattern: 24 jacquard stitch repeat, for standard gauge machines including Passap/Pfaff and Singer.

That particular Cashmere blend is now sold out but the garment can also be knitted in MAESTRO or CESARI.
This slightly shaped, textured Long Jacket with set-in sleeves and very easy optional pockets is knitted in a Cashmere Blend.
With exception of the welts and cuffs everything is knitted on a SINGLE BED MACHINE standard gauge, the ribs for the welts and cuffs can easily be substituted with a Mock-Rib.
The texture is achieved by working a two stitch Tuck Stitch repeat. The purl side is used as the right side but the Stocking Stitch side has also a very attractive texture. The neckband and the front bands are knitted in Stocking Stitch - for special knitting and finishing techniques of this chanel type neck see Book No.4 in the KNIT TO FINISH series.
The Pattern, 203, in three sizes, is available for HAND and MACHINE kitting and includes instructions for a short version, it is available at £4.50 each as PDF email attachment and as a printed version plus postage for the printed version.
